Correction of precipitation measurement for weighing precipitation gauges in a glacierized basin in the Tianshan Mountains

Precipitation is one of the most important climatological data for global hydrothermal cycle and climate change. The accuracy precipitation not only directly affects hydrological processes, but also plays an role in hydrology at regional scales. According to situ datasets, measurement automatic weather stations Geonor T-200B was corrected by World Meteorological Organization Solid Intercomparison Experiment (WMO-SPICE) transfer functions. parameters functions were tested recalibrated local datasets. results showed that better performance after recalibrating root-mean-square error (RMSE) mean bias decreased average 34% 42%, respectively. snowfall increased 7% (14 mm) test station. Then, new used other correct precipitation, it found solid underestimated 13% on glacier surface affected wind speed.
